Porro Prism

The Porro prism is similar to a right-angle prism and can be used to bend the optical path by 90°. Generally, the oblique face of the prism is used rather than the bottom face.

Due to the occurrence of two reflections within the Porro prism, the direction of the incident light beam is reversed when using the Porro prism, as the object enters and the image exits through the same face.
