Meniscus Cylindrical Lens

Ores Optics specializes in the customized production of meniscus cylindrical lenses and possesses an optical design team capable of providing optical system design and technical support to a wide range of customers, fully meeting your various needs.

Product Introduction

A meniscus cylindrical lens has one concave surface and one convex surface. Its function is to converge or diverge a beam of light to a plane, with no effect on the beam in the perpendicular plane. The meniscus cylindrical lens can convert transmitted plane waves into cylindrical waves, or convert cylindrical waves into plane waves or spherical waves. This type of lens can correct visual aberrations.

Moreover, its edge thickness is greater than its center thickness, which can minimize spherical aberration. It is often used in combination with another lens to form an optical system, thereby reducing the numerical aperture. It is a common component in beam expansion applications.
